Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday celebrated Diwali with the Jawans in Himachal Pradesh’s Lepcha and praised the unwavering courage of the Indian armed forces .This has been an experience filled with Deep emotion and Pride . Last year Modi celebrated Diwali in Kargil .Since modi became Prime minister he has been spending Diwali with Jawans of the country every year . Addressing the nation after interacting with the jawans, the Prime Minister said ; Ayodhya is said to be where Ram is, But Modi added: “The place where jawans are posted is not less than any temple for me. Wherever you are, my festival is there”. He also said the armed forces have taken India’s pride to new heights.CELEBRATING DIWALI with soldiers at Himachal Pradesh’s Lepcha, which lies close to the China border, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said on Sunday that India is safe as long as its borders are protected by the brave jawans with “determination like the Himalayas”.
Citing the Chandrayaan-3, Aditya L1 launch, moving into the new Parliament building, passage of the women’s reservation Bill and the G20 summit, Modi said the past year was a milestone year in nation-building. “If India is touching heights of development with its full force, the credit for that also goes to your capabilities, resolve and sacrifices,” Modi told the soldiers.
Speaking about the importance of taking care of the needs of the armed forces, the PM mentioned procuring clothes suitable for extreme temperatures and modern drones.
