Qatar shocked India with its recent verdict against the eight former Indian Navy officers. 8 former Indian Navy officers were awarded death penalty by the Court of First Instance of Qatar. Reacting to the Qatar Court’s verdict, Indian Navy Chief said that every effort is being made to take up this matter to the legal course. Meanwhile, EAM S Jaishankar met with the family members of the Indians detained in Qatar.

Taking to X, EAM Jaishankar said that the government would continue to make all efforts to secure their release. The accused naval officers have been imprisoned in Qatar since October 2022.
